Although Louise Nez is the daughter of a traditional Navajo weaver, it was the influence of her daughter, Florence Riggs, that prompted her to begin weaving memory scenes of her early life on the reservation in Arizona. People herd, weave, and care for their families in this tranquil landscape dotted with birds, butterflies, and colorful flowers.
