Known for perfecting a unique method of constructing free-form vessels from layer upon layer of thin glass threads, Zynsky creates pieces that vibrate with brilliant color. These exuberant pieces--fused, slumped, and folded with heat--belie the customary rigidity associated with glass. The rough edges and textured surface suggest freshly cut swatches of stiffened silk.
